Window Quote is a unique program that should work with just about any off-
line mail reader. It's soooooo simple to use that even a child could operate
it! What it does is place a window around a message that you are qouting when
replying to a message with an off-line reader. When it is first operated it
will ask for the complete path, filename, and extention of your text editor.
It will give you up to 40 characters in order to type this data in. Once you
have entered this data, it will create a file called WINQUOTE.EDT in the root
directory of the current drive being used.
The program requires a command line entry of the filename you wish to
window. For example... say you wanted to window the message saved as
REPLY.MSG (which SLMR does automatically), you would use the command:
WINQUOTE REPLY.MSG
As soon as the program is invoked it will being changing the text within
REPLY.MSG and save the data under the same name. As soon as it is finished,
it will call up your text editor so you may edit the data as you see fit.
After you exit your text editor, control is passed back to your reader and all
is well!
Now if you wish to set this up under SLMR goto the configurations window
and change the replies menu selection for text editor from your current
setting to "C:\PATH\WINQUOTE.EXE !" I have tested it in this setting and it
works fine with no flaws!
